“Working with Bas on the Beachwave campaign felt incredibly natural and intuitive. Together in Ibiza, we wanted to capture the swimwear in a way that felt alive and honest, embracing real moments instead of over-directing every scene. Bas has a strong instinct for movement, light, and emotion, which made it easy to constantly build on each other’s ideas throughout the shoot.
What I really appreciate is that he never stops observing and shooting. Because of that, we captured so many beautiful in-between moments beyond the main film, moments that ended up giving the campaign its energy and authenticity. Shooting alongside the photography campaign also created a strong connection between stills and motion, allowing everything to share the same visual language and atmosphere.”
